What is Vancouver Formosa Academy?
Vancouver Formosa Academy was established in 1989, and our staff works hard to understand the bridge between our students' home countries and their settlement in Canada. We prepare students academically and culturally for successful settlement in this country. Vancouver Formosa Academy offers a wonderful educational experience. Along with interactive and communicative classroom instruction, there are many field trips and guest speakers that encourage participation in the community.
Since 1989, we have welcomed students from China, Vietnam, India, Burma, Columbia, El Salvador, The Philippines,
Hungary, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Peru, Russia, Taiwan, Thailand, Tibet, Venezuela, Algeria, Bangladesh, Brunei, Brazil, Ethiopia, Guatemala, The Honduras, Iraq, Israel, Lebanon, Myanmar, Nicaragua, Pakistan, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Ukraine and more. Over the years, we have watched proudly as our students have gone on to finding careers and raising their families in Canada. |
The two-level school building includes bright classrooms, a computer lab, gymnasium, and library. Microwave ovens, vending machines and telephone are available for student use.
